Look them in the eye - a primer to improve video conference eye contact

Eye contact exercise for online meetings

So many people are being asked to work from home or a remote location.

One of the hurdles is knowing how to communicate using video calling software. It is unnatural. Looking at a spot on your laptop or a tiny camera above your monitor is hardly an easy way to communicate.

I am the author of “On-The-Job Speech Training” and speech coach for corporate presenters.

“Ray Franklin's combined skills as a speech coach and audience advocate have helped YUM! Brands execute productive and interesting meetings from Dubai to Singapore and most major venues in the US. I've seen him work on-site many, many times, and I've benefited from his guidance myself. He helps novice speakers be successful; and elevates skilled presenters to the next level.”

Greg Creed,

Former CEO of Yum! Brands (Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC)

I suggest you record yourself practicing this exercise by creating a simple grid on your screen.
